True Colors

I have been very busy since the holidays working on a very special piece. Some very close friends of mine gave me a plaque for Christmas that reads: PAINT YOUR DREAMS IN TRUE COLORS AND BOLD STROKES. So I set out to do just that with a little sewing table my hubby rescued from a dumpster years ago. I wanted to paint the piece in nice bright colors to remind me of what my 'true color's really are. I tend to like to work with darker, heavier colors and tend to feel taunted by very bright colors so I often avoid using them. Below are pics of the table. It's not quite finished yet. I intend to add some collage images as well as the lyrics to the Phil Collins song 'True Color's which is the real sentiment behind the piece which I dedicated to my friends.
